This site is dedicated to the memory of Jane Dowson.

Jane was a very special, larger than life character who touched the lives of many people who were lucky enough to know her. Her early life was spent working for the Royal Household and when I first knew her, she was living locally and working as a teaching assistant at Hillside, the pre-prep to Kitebrook House School, near Moreton in Marsh. When her cancer struck, she was sure she would beat it and bravely underwent many dangerous operations which she always faced with complete bravery and trust in her doctors. Sadly, it took her life in Feb 2009 but her time at the Shakespeare Hospice was some of the happiest and she gave back as much as she took from staff and other patients. She always made me feel better, made me laugh and was such a shining example of courage and determination. We miss her dreadfully and that is why I am supporting the hospice, so that the wonderful work undertaken here can prosper and continue with voluntary donations for all my various challenges!
